Library Exterior Wall Project
During the Spring and Summer of 2022, four large vinyl banners were installed on the library wall adjacent to the parking lot. These banners feature quotes from four authors, Mark Twain, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Dr. Seuss and William Kent Krueger. This project was organized and funded by the Friends of the Blue Earth Community Library. Have you seen the banners? Please give us your feedback by completing this quick evaluation. https://forms.gle/Yg3xTttF3VwCj9297

The Memorial Library, built by William Ellery Channing Ross and dedicated in 1904 to the memory of his wife Etta Chadbourn Ross, has served as the cultural center of Blue Earth for many years. In February 1985, the Blue Earth Community Library was moved to its present location downtown, to better meet the needs of the community. The City of Blue Earth donated the original building to the Faribault County Historical Association in 1987 to be used as a museum. Today it contains historical records, pictures, family diaries, documents, and artifacts where visitors may recall the history of Blue Earth.
